Underworld Selene costume is one of the girls’ favorites. Dark characters are always fun to see on a Halloween which includes vampires, etc. This costume may not suit everybody and is best worn by young women. It will help if they have dark hair. If you are a blonde, you can always wear a wig; after all it is a costume.
The underworld Selene costume has 2 to 3 layers, first comes the cat suit, then the corset and finally a coat. The coat swishing around when you walk around adds to the dark image. You can replace the coat with a long black jacket if you or somebody you know has one as the coat can be expensive.

Just for the costume party, you can even walk around with toy guns. Make sure you don’t walk around with the guns showing on the street or you can get arrested. Some costumes of Selena come with two leg holsters. This way you can holster the guns when you are having food at the party.
If you find the costume too warm, you can always lose the coat. The costume will look equally as good without the coat. The boots are an important part of the Selena costume and if you don’t want to buy one just for the Halloween, you can use any normal black boots. Since Selena wears high heeled boots, find one that has heels. You can also include the ornate swords as well as the throwing stars which form a part of the weaponry in the movie. A lot of replicas of these weapons can be found in toy stores and they don’t even cost a lot.
With the right make up and the right attitude, you can look as good as her. This costume will suit people who are slim or athletic. This is a great costume but make sure your friends aren’t planning to wear the same thing at the same party. To reduce your expenses, you can rent the costume from a store rather than buy it. Most stores even give discounts during Halloween. Some think that if they buy the cat suit, corset and the coat separately, they will get it for a lower price but it will actually add up to a lot.
The PVC cat suit that forms the first layer can be used again next year so it is not a complete waste. You can even rent it out if you dint want to repeat it. As a cat suit is something people love to have, you will never feel like you have wasted your money on it. Make sure you get the whole suit altered so that it fits you perfectly. An ill fitting costume can ruin the image.
